Kallum Watkins former Latchford player to lead the champions in 2018.

Kallum Watkins has been made the 2018 Leeds Rhinos Captain after the departure of Danny McGuire to Hull KR.

The England international centre has been a regular in the Leeds team since making his debut in 2007, scoring 123 tries in just over 200 games.

Manchester-born Watkins has earned 25 caps for his country and was one of the standouts in last year's Rugby League World Cup. Kallum started his rugby careear at Folly Lane then Joined up with latchford in his teenage years, where he got picked up by Leeds Rhinos and went on to win the National Cup at under 16s.

The 26-year-old will captain the Rhinos for the first time when they take on Warrington Wolves in the first game of the new Betfred Super League season on Thursday 1st February.
